Welcome to the
Welcome to the
Council #4555 South Woodslee
We the Knights of Columbus is a service organization of Catholic men who dedicate themselves to promoting charity, unity and family life. The Brother Knights of the councils have and still support a wide variety of programs in the Essex County and Lakeshore communities.
Congratulations to Our 2026 Bursary Recipients
The Knights of Columbus, St. John the Evangelist Council #4555, is proud to recognize and congratulate this year’s recipients of our educational bursaries. Each year, our Council has the privilege of supporting young people as they continue their education and take the next important steps toward their future.
This year, we are pleased to present the Knights of Columbus Bursary in Memory of Rev. Lawrence Mousseau, an award offered to eligible students who apply and demonstrate their commitment to continuing their education.
We are also especially proud to present the Knights of Columbus Rev. Lawrence Mousseau Education Bursary. This is a very special award supported through a dedicated account established by our Council and is traditionally presented to only one exceptional recipient.
This year, however, we were presented with an extraordinary group of applicants. After careful consideration, we felt that the accomplishments, dedication, and potential demonstrated by our applicants deserved special recognition. For this reason, our Council made the exceptional decision to recognize two deserving recipients of the Rev. Lawrence Mousseau Education Bursary this year.
To all of our bursary recipients: Congratulations!
Your hard work and dedication have brought you to this important milestone. As Knights, we are honoured to play a small part in supporting your educational journey. We encourage you to continue working toward your goals, serving others, and using your talents to make a positive difference wherever your future may lead.
May you always remember that your parish and community are proud of you and are cheering you on as you begin this next chapter.
On behalf of all the Brother Knights of Council #4555, we wish you continued success in your studies and in all your future endeavours.

"The Knights of Columbus, St. John the Evangelist Council #4555, would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our parishioners, guests, families, and friends who joined us for our Annual Steak BBQ this past Saturday.
Your attendance, friendship, and continued support helped make the evening a wonderful success. It was truly a pleasure to see so many members of our parish and community come together to enjoy a great meal, good conversation, and fellowship.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event, whether by purchasing a ticket, attending the dinner, volunteering their time, or simply sharing in the evening with us.
Events like this remind us of the strength of our parish and community and what can be accomplished when we come together.
On behalf of all the members of Council #4555, thank you for making this year's BBQ a memorable evening. We look forward to welcoming you again at our future events! God Bless,"

Spring 2026 Free LTC/SR Luncheon
The 45 Band members from Gosfield North Central School
The audience was treated to 40 minutes of outstanding entertainment and an impressive showcase of musical talent. The orchestra delivered a remarkable performance, highlighting the dedication, skill, and passion of students from Grades 6 through 8.
It was truly inspiring to witness such exceptional young talent on display.
The Donation.
We were honoured to provide a generous donation on behalf of the Council to assist with transportation costs for the band’s upcoming national event being held in Niagara Falls.
Supporting our local youth and helping create opportunities for them to participate in meaningful educational and cultural experiences remains an important part of our commitment to the community.
Student Volunteers!
The Grade 7–8 students from St. John the Evangelist Elementary School continued to demonstrate their outstanding commitment to community service following their Muskoka trip by volunteering their time to assist the Council.
The students graciously helped serve meals to local seniors and remained afterwards to assist with cleanup efforts. Their dedication, compassion, and willingness to serve are a true reflection of the strong character and leadership qualities within our youth.
The Extra Help!
Without the dedication and hard work of the support staff, PSWs, nurses, and bus drivers, events such as today’s luncheon would not be possible. While the Council is proud to host these gatherings for our seniors, it is the commitment and compassion of these individuals that make it possible to bring our seniors together and ensure they can participate and enjoy these meaningful occasions.
For their continued care, support, and service to our community, the Council extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation.

Knight of Columbus - South Ontario - Coats for Kids!
The local Knights of Columbus Councils are proud to have distributed nearly 2,000 winter coats across Southwestern Ontario through this ongoing community initiative. More than simply providing warm clothing, this event has become a powerful symbol of compassion, unity, and service within our communities.
Year after year, the program continues to inspire local councils, volunteers, and community partners to work together in support of families in need. In addition to helping children and individuals stay warm during the winter months, the initiative also strengthens support for local food banks and other community outreach efforts throughout the region.
